Backlinks are links that point or suggest your site. Most search engine optimizers never take competitors into account when making backlinks. But think about it, why are your competitors ahead of you? Shouldn't you follow them?
You can get at least 20% backlinks from any of your competitors. That means you can build backlinks for your own website where they are backlinking.

The first thing you need to do to get competitor backlinks is to save competitors. If your website is old then you can easily save competitors by using any SEO tools. But if your website is new then you have to manually save the competitors.
